Gale, Russ and Daughter Kimberly at the Branson 2010 Reunion

We were saddened to hear that Russ passed away today, March 2, 2011 in Kansas City. He suffered a massive stroke and died without regaining consciousness. Russ was an association member since Branson 1999. He, Linda and Kimberly have attended many of our reunions. We will all miss him.

His obituary as published in Kansas City Star on March 5, 2011:
Russell James Foust, 67, beloved husband and father, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, with services immediately following at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home.
Russ was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, on August 24, 1943, and raised in Houston, Texas. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, serving on the USS Cabildo LSD-16 from 1962 to 1967. Russ loved his Navy reunions and kept in touch with many of his shipmates. After his Navy service, Russ worked for Braniff Airlines from 1967 until 1982 and then retired from Yellow-Roadway Corporation. He enjoyed computer gaming, fishing and was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. Russ was an amazing person; described by all as the "sweetest guy." He loved his family and friends and was an amazing father, husband, brother, and friend. In November he celebrated his 41st wedding anniversary with the love of his life, Gale. He is survived by his wife Gale, daughter Kimberly, brother Bob Lewis (Darla), sister Martie Kernodle (Jon), brother-in-law Gary Wondra (Colleen) and many nieces and nephews. Fond memories and condolences for the family may be left at www.mountmoriahterracepark.com.
